Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence, or loss of bladder control, has many causes. Regardless of the cause, it can be debilitating and embarrassing for many. Severity can range from leaking urine while laughing or exercising to having the sudden urge to urinate so strongly you are unable to reach the bathroom in time. Historically, treatments for this condition have included wearing pads, performing Kegel exercises, taking medications and, in severe cases, surgery.

Treatment/Procedure

diVa

Recovering from breast cancer and being in surgical menopause was a life changing event I had never anticipated. Not only was I dealing with the loss of my breasts but I was also dealing with vaginal atrophy and painful intercourse. I knew I wasn’t an ideal candidate for hormone therapy and lubrication was not only messy but insufficient. After just one diVa treatment, there was such an improvement with decreased feelings of tearing and pain. It has given back the intimacy that my husband and I had lost during the course of my cancer recovery.”
